We are pleased with these covers. They seem very thin, but once the book has been inserted, they weather the wear and tear very well! We have used them for three years (that I am aware of) and find them to be wonderful. A few of the helpers - who change the book and reuse the covers annually - find them a challenge when they first insert the new book, but, with a little patience, they have found them easy to handle.
